Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Rask Auto collects, why, and what rights you have. The data controller is the seller named on our company information page.

What we collect

  • Part requests: your email address, phone number (if you give it), your car, the part you need, the part number and anything you write in the message.
  • Messages by SMS, WhatsApp or Messenger: your phone number or profile name and the content of the messages and photos you send us.
  • Purchases: your name, delivery address, email, phone number and what you bought and paid.
  • Tuning shop sign-up: your email address.
  • Website use: technical data such as IP address, device and browser, collected by our shop platform (Shopify) and through cookies.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To answer your request and prepare an offer – necessary to take steps before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To deliver your purchase, send invoices and handle returns and complaints – necessary to fulfil the contract (art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep accounting records – required by law (art. 6(1)(c)).
  • To tell you when the tuning shop opens – based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (art. 6(1)(a)).
  • To run and protect the website – our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)). Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run the business: Shopify (website, forms and customer list), Google (email), Meta (WhatsApp and Messenger, only if you contact us there), our parts suppliers (only the part details needed; your name and address only if they ship directly to you), shipping companies, and our accountant.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA, for example in the USA. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that do not lead to a purchase: deleted no later than 12 months after our last contact.
  • Purchases: kept as long as accounting law requires.
  • Tuning shop sign-up: until you unsubscribe, or until we no longer send launch news.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details on our company information page.

If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (ada.lt), where our business is registered, or to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Cookies

The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work. Other cookies, for statistics or marketing, are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
