Terms of sale

These terms apply when you, as a consumer, buy car parts from Rask Auto. Your rights under Norwegian consumer law (the Consumer Purchases Act and the Cancellation Act) always apply, and nothing in these terms limits them.

1. Seller

Rask Auto. Full company details, address and contact information are on our company information page.

2. How a purchase works

Sending a request through the website, SMS, WhatsApp or Messenger is free and without obligation. We reply with an offer that describes the part, its condition (new or used, and any known defects), photos of the actual part, the total price and the expected delivery time. An offer is valid for 7 days unless it says otherwise.

A purchase is agreed when you accept the offer in writing (for example by email or message). We then send you an invoice.

3. Prices

All prices are in Norwegian kroner (NOK). The total price in the offer includes Norwegian VAT, customs duties and delivery to the address you give us, unless the offer clearly says otherwise. There are no extra fees on delivery.

4. Payment

You pay by invoice, by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice, before the due date. We send the part when the invoice has been paid, unless the offer says otherwise. We never ask for card details on the website.

5. Delivery

Delivery usually takes 5–14 days from payment. The expected delivery time for your part is stated in the offer. If a delivery is delayed, we will tell you as soon as we know, and you have the rights the Consumer Purchases Act gives you in case of delay.

Please check the parcel when you receive it. If it is visibly damaged, note it with the carrier if possible and contact us.

6. Right of withdrawal (14 days)

You may cancel the purchase without giving a reason within 14 days after you have received the part. To cancel, send us a clear message by email, or use our withdrawal form. You must then return the part within 14 days after telling us.

When you use the right of withdrawal, you pay the cost of returning the part. We refund everything you paid, including the original delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving your notice. We may wait with the refund until we have received the part back. You may handle the part only as needed to check it (for example compare it with your old part), and you are responsible for any loss in value caused by other handling.

7. Wrong part, damage in transport and faults

If the part does not fit because of our mistake, or if it arrives damaged, contact us. We pay the return shipping and you get a full refund (or a replacement if you prefer and we can find one).

If the part was ordered with a wrong part number or wrong car details from you, or you accepted a part with a defect we told you about before you bought it, this is not a fault. You can still return it under the right of withdrawal above, but you pay the return shipping.

Your right to complain (reklamasjon): you can complain about defects for 2 years after you received the part, or 5 years for parts that are meant to last considerably longer. Tell us within a reasonable time after you discover the defect; complaints made within 2 months are always in time. For used parts, what counts as a defect is judged against what we agreed: the description, the photos, the price and the normal wear of a used part of that age. Defects we told you about before the purchase cannot be complained about.

8. Personal data

How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

9. Disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us first – we will do our best to find a solution. If we cannot agree, you can ask the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) for help with mediation, and the case can then be brought before the Consumer Disputes Commission (Forbrukerklageutvalget).
